When Weird NJ started in 1993, we didn’t believe anybody, least of all us, could have imagined that we’d still be doing it three decades later. But here we are, 30 years burning down that weird road and still going strong!
It’s certainly been an adventure of many twists, turns, unforeseen obstacles, triumphs and tragedies. We’ve made a lot of great friends along the way and worked with many wonderful collaborators. Sadly, for some of our companions, the journey ended too soon. But we can still see them in our rearview mirrors and remember our time spent traveling together fondly.
From our humble beginnings as a black & white photo-copied newsletter held together by a single staple, to our present day full-fledged, full color magazine, we have always endeavored to provide our readers with the kind of quality content they have come to expect from Weird NJ. We consider it our great honor and privilege to do what we do.
It goes without saying that an esoteric publication like ours, with the words “weird” and “New Jersey” in its title, isn’t going to be for everyone. But those who get it, really get it, and that’s good enough for us. We’ve always taken great pride and pleasure in sharing these unusual sites and eclectic stories with you. This strange journey we embarked upon together so many years ago has become our lifework, and we’ve been afforded this unique opportunity solely through continued encouragement of YOU, our readers.
We thank you all for supporting our local independent NJ publication for all these years.
